Tarah graduated from Dobson High School on May 20th with a 4.05 GPA at age 15…top 1% of her class.  This tiny 5’, 89 pounder had already accumulated 16 hours of College Credit via concurrent enrollment, and increased the number to 22 by taking 6 more credits at MCC (Mesa Community College) in June and July.  She had the lead in a couple more plays/musicals, and won Floor Exercise at the International Invitation of Burbank with over 150 gymnasts competing from more than 4 countries. She also began collecting those plush addicting critters, Beanie Babies…of which she now has over 200.

Tarah qualified to International Elite status over the summer, and then onto the United States Gymnastics Classics in San Antonio come August.  It was becoming clear though that the gym she was currently attending had nearly maxed out in taking her as far as she wanted to go.  Upon arrival to the competition, her coaches pulled the hard tricks from her routines to make them easier to nail perfectly. However, that also meant that she no longer had high enough start values to advance forth to the next step…the National Championships. The bottom line was that what Tarah needed now was more practice, a more intense focus on her primary sport, and a new gymnastics training facility that was ready to turn up the heat with round the clock/hands-on coaching. She was entering a whole new level of seriousness and to keep up with the ever rising stakes, talent, and competition, she was going to have to rise again to the occasion.

A decision would soon be made that changed Tarah’s life forever. The National Championships is the competition at which the National Team is selected and it has been Tarah’s goal to make it to this prestigious event since she was 7 years old. Tarah knew she had to raise the bar if she was going to compete with the best of the best at this new level of excellence.
