In September, Tarah began high school at Dobson High because Principle Linda Rottman (on the Board of Directors for the Public School System at the time), was willing to let Tarah be absent without penalty whenever she needed to audition or perform—as long as her grades stayed up.  Tarah combined her Sophomore and Junior years together (as she was contemplating the possibility of getting out of school early—graduating in 3 years instead of 4).  Receiving college credit at 14 years old for her Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry courses and taking French I as a self-study, she also won the award for being the “most fit” student at her school (of over 3600 students) when she broke 4 calisthenics records and tied one.  In gymnastics, she was now a Pre-Elite (just one step below the very top), and qualified again to both State and Regional Championships.  Tarah continued her association with the Val Vista dancers as a guest performer in this fine group headed by director Helen Moat, and was also invited to perform at the Riverfest Concert in Little Rock, Arkansas later this year.  At Christmas, Tarah again had a chance to test her choreography skills when she was invited to dance as a soloist for the State of Arizona’s spectacular Celebration:  “A Journey Through Bethlehem.”  She choreographed 5 pieces to authentic early 1st-century BC music for her two weeks of performances in memory of Christmas’s long ago. This magnificent festival was done in a freestanding, man-made Village that totaled over a full square mile.  She also appeared in and was on the jacket cover for the video, “Dancing in Hollywood,” (shot in L.A.), and in the Television mini-series “Robin Cook’s Invasion” (w/ Luke Perry).

Tarah continued to combine her school years throughout high school—this time her Junior and Senior ones.  She received college credit for both Physics and senior English (the former involving many intricate after-school labs and the later requiring her to write numerous lengthy research papers).  She then took junior English both semesters in summer school (as it was impossible to graduate 4 years of mandatory English in three years of high school without summer school’s help) and continued French II in the fall.  She was inducted into the National Honor Society, and nominated by her Senior Class for Homecoming Queen.  Tarah filmed, “The Postman,” with Kevin Costner in Southern AZ, and soon after was accepted into the Screen Actors Guild (SAG)—the premiere Union designated for the protection of industry actors.
