Tarah, now acting in addition to her already flourishing and growing schedule, did auditions in Arizona, (one being "Forrest Gump"), and also in California, which her LA. agents procured for her. Tarah's 1st California auditions were for “Gypsy” (with Bette Middler) and dancing for the Academy Awards.  Auditions led to voice lessons at both recording studios, (which gave her valuable microphone, studio, and performing experience), and from a private coach—the more technical side of her vocal training.  New technique and training soon led to her first real vocal performances, and via a previous contact, she even began to perform with Phase Four Recording Studios (one of the very top in the whole country).  She also met a drama coach this year who gave her the outlet to write many of her own original novels and screenplays, as well as cast her in her first lead role in a full-length theatrical production less than six months later.

In her first level 9 gymnastics meet, Tarah took two 1st places, and 2nd all-around…which compelled her dad to buy her a ferret. She had negotiated and pleaded for this pet for months prior to the competition.  Over the years, Tarah has had many pets…cats, a horse, a ferret, a hamster, a rabbit, a turtle, gold and tropical fish of all kinds, and many, many more. She is a huge fan of all animals and hopes to open a no-kill shelter one day when she is much older.

In the fall as a just-turned 11-year-old, Tarah began Carson Junior High School (as a 7th grader) and lightened her course load by testing out of reading at the 9th grade level—(the District allows all kids who test at a high school level to forgo any further reading courses until their 4 years of High School English).  But her course load wasn’t the only thing she lightened.  She changed her golden brown hair to flaxen before the start of school.  In addition to school, she took her first trip outside the USA (to Mexico) with her family, performed as a special guest for The Val Vista Tappers (the first of over a decade of shows), continued to play the harp, and did “The Nutcracker” for the very last time.  At “Showbiz” National Championships, she took Top Five Junior, and at “Starpower” National Championships (on her 11th birthday), she took Top Three.  Finally, the “That’s Dancin” National Championships came around again and she not only won the whole contest (named “National Champion of the Year”--once more), but the judges all gave her a standing ovation as well. Clearly she was reaching her peak with these competitions.
