Later this year, she received an almost perfect score on her classical vocal solo at the School District Regional Competition, and also began Irish dancing in the summer with Tom Bracken—coach of the current world champion from Ireland.  He soon discovered for himself  Tarah’s quick ability to pick up moves and techniques & said this girl could easily become a national champion in this field of dance as well—if only she stuck with it.  And indeed, Tarah did show great promise over the course of the next year. She took four 1st places for her solos in her very first Feis (Irish Dance Competition), and rose up 4 levels to the Preliminary Championship level as the months flew by.  But Tarah could not do everything.  She would take with her the style of the art to add to her repertoire, but soon resigned from any further formal training here.

As Fall turned to Winter, Tarah's love for performance opportunities (in all modalities) stayed strong.  Most notably, she was honored to be invited on as a special guest soloist for the “John Hancock Tour of Champions” with the “Magnificent Seven” (famous for their Olympic Team Gold in lady’s gymnastics—1996).  She was also becoming serious about her acting craft now, and thus began her association with “Actor’s workout, Inc” and its director, Mary Daisy (a talented woman who would become quite influential in Tarah’s future).  Tarah trained with this group of very focused and driven actors each week for the next year and was introduced to a variety of new dramatic styles and techniques.

In gymnastics, she was 2nd All-Around in Reno, Nevada, as a Pre-Elite/Level 10, and later qualified to National Elite status.  She was now an Elite gymnast at only 14 years old.  Tarah went on (just 4 months later) to compete this new ranking at the esteemed National Elite Gymnastics Festival in Seattle, WA, and captured the Silver medal on Floor, Bronze on Beam, and 6th in the All-Around.  This put her on the National Training Team for the USA and thus one step closer to achieving her longtime and ultimate gymnastics goal of being named to the USA National Team.
